I hope the guys at HPSS can fit these basic dumb questions into their busy days. As many others, I am an avid student of the "High Power University" and watch and re-watch most of the great video editions so nicely done by Mark Allen. I generally can follow and comprehend what Mark is addressing each time, just occasionally I get hung up on a point and need some further help.
Regarding the trigger pin replacement for the Girsan MC P 35 High Power clone. I think it is great they have a replacement trigger pin ready to go to replace the one-time-use pin once it has been removed. Question is - does it matter which end of the new replacement BHSS trigger pin goes in first from the right side of the pistol? Rightly or wrongly the video left that question in my mind. Can someone help me with that? I sure appreciate the help.
Next issue has to do with the Magazine Latch or mag release button. I understand the diagnostic and the fix of the slide striking the top rear of the magazine, and the fix of removing a bit of metal from the mag latch itself inside the mag well so it locks up not quite so high up. My dumb problem is I can't seem to correctly or accurately figure out exactly what location on the latch to remove the 0.1 to 0.3 mm.
I did remove metal - but it is either too much or in the wrong place or both and more problems were created. Is there anyway it can be explained just precisely where to remove metal from on the inside of the latch. I can't clearly see the image from Mark's video clearly enough to determine where to remove metal. (My estimate and interpretation was dead wrong). Can anyone help explain?
I have ordered two replacement mag latch parts to practice on, but further explanation would be a great, great help. Date I wish for detail videos? Thanks very much. And for BHSS - thank you for the great information and support, you have both my respect and my promise of continued business.
