If you admire the design and work of John Browning a gun he had no hand in may have been his greatest work ever. The P35p or VIS Radom built by the Polish may be the greatest culmination of John Brownings designs IMHO. When you look at a P35p the influence of the 1911 is obvious and when you take one apart you can see they combined the best of the 1911 and the High Power to make this weapon. IMHO it may have been the greatest weapon to come out of the 30s and 40s. Since I collect WWII weapons and have collected a fair number of these over the years I appreciate the design and quality of these weapons. Here is a first alpha B serial number gun I still shoot often today. The real history of these weapons is both brutal and amazing. When the Germans took over the plant in Poland in 1940 they used some of the most brutal tactics ever to produce this for the German army including the hanging of 150 of the most skilled workers in 1942 when one weapon that was believed to have been smuggled out of the plant was discovered in the hands of a partisan fighter. If you admire John Brownings work this pistol when you take it apart has the best of the High Power and 1911 combined.

I love my Radoms! One of the most reliable, comfortable, accurate handguns ever made.

I sure wish I had bought some Radoms back when gun shops had them in barrels by the counter along with, Astra 600s, Star Bs, Steyr 1912s; FEG .32s, French M1935s... Your choice for $25! AND no paperwork!!!
Those were the days...

Jonnyc, I do agree with you. I only have one late Radom 2 lever which may have been unissued as it is pristine and is a C serial number second alpha. Most of mine are all first alpha A, B, C, D and Es. You can tell it was around the first alpha K serial number that the quality dropped tremendously. Here are some of my Radoms.

That is a really nice selection of Radoms... at today's prices they might as well be gold... Jonnyc, I do agree with you. That is a really nice selection of Radoms... at today's prices they might as well be gold... Thanks Chuck, since I'm a hoarder though value plays very little consideration in my collecting. My only fear is my daughter will fire sale everything due to the sheer amount I have collected when I'm gone. Years ago I had to spend a week in the hospital with cancer and my daughter stayed in my home. Even though I run two separate security systems I prefer someone be here. When I got home she said she was happy I was home and said that all the old stuff in my house gives her the creeps. I have put together detailed catalogues that she will get when I go but she honestly has no idea what the stuff is worth.
