Hello and new member to the forum. I have two HP's, a T series and 69C. Purchased this GKK-92, 9mm recently and was looking for some information on it. Appears very well built and finished. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A little more info is necessary, can you post images of the other side of the pistol as well as serial number info. With that additional information we should be able to pass along some info on import and date of manufacture.

Thanks for the additional image and serial number. I am of Hungarian descent, so I collect FEG pistols, especially since they made an excellent Hi Power clone. These P9R edition pistols we are are discussing are double action, and have the Smith and Wesson operating system. So, far different than the single action Hi Power clones. Yes, Kassnar and KBI used their own model designations. Many of the model numbers are initials of Kassnar family members. I believe the GKK was a Kassnar daughter. The PJK9HP was after his wife. There were several importers of this model. What you have is the compact version of the FEG P9R, the K suffix being "Kompakt". The compact version was designated as the P9R-K by FEG. I believe the MBK was the Kassnar model of the larger version, and the GKK-92C was the compact designation assigned by Kassnar. From what I can tell from Lazlo's charts (beczl) your GKK-92C (FEG P9r-K) dates from early 1991. In addition to KBI imports, Century International Arms also imported FEG pistols. They used the FEG model numbers, of P9R for the standard size, and P9R-K for the compact/short slide version. Interarms of Alexandria, VA also imported and sold the P9R as the R9. Not sure if they also imported the compact version. I have the CAI P9R-K version (serial number K13719) along with a P9R slide and barrel (serial #55084) I found on EBAy. The compact dates to 1992, and the standard sized slide to 1994. Follow the link from this post for a catalog of FEG pistols, which references both the P9R and the P9R-K. highpowercollectors.proboards.com/post/8867A few images below. Hope this helps. Perhaps Lazlo will post additional information and context. My CAI import P9R-K and the P9R slide The KBI box for the GKK-92C Interarms R9 Box and manual

Thanks Todd, for the great pics and information. Will the magazines of the P9R, fit and function in the GKK-92C?

Thanks Todd, for the great pics and information. Will the magazines of the P9R, fit and function in the GKK-92C? I dont have a P9R, but I do believe the only difference between the P9R and the P9R-K is the compact slide. Frames should be the same. With that, the P9R magazines should fit and work with the P9R-K. If you look as the specs from the FEG catalog, both state 14 rounds, and the height of the two are the same, indicating the same frame and grip.

Thanks Todd. I have looked at a few on EB and GB. They are out there, yet somewhat pricey.

Yesterday when posting on the GKK-92C I could not find a forum posting I knew existed for KBI/Kassnar names of FEGs. I found it, posted below, from a post directly by Michael Kassnar, dated July 2, 2008. Link to the thread is www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/feg-quality-and-price.370786/page-2#post-4916350KBI (my company) and Kassnar Imports (my father's old company) imported umpteen thousands of FEG pistols and their AKM rifles from the mid-80's until today. They had different issues at different times, but the function was always very good even if the finishing at times left something to be desired. The prices were always fantastic. For you to truly understand my relationship to FEG pistols and rifles over the years, I will pass on a little known fact about some of the model names that came here to the US: The PJK-9HP was named for my wife, Pamela Jane. The MBK-9HP and MBK-9HPC were named for me. The PMK-380 was named for my father, Paul Martin The GKK-45, GKK-92 and GKK-92C were all named for my daughter. The SMC-380, SMC-918 and SMC-22 were named for my sales manager at the time (who got jealous that I was naming all the guns after my family). Then my sister complained that we had not named anything after her and I replied that there already was one named for her, the AK. Her name is Alexis! And of course FEG was intimately involved with the Charles Daly HP project, producing all of the components that were ultimately finished in the US. FEG also sold some of these same models at various times to the old Interarms company and Century. (FEG could never be trusted to honor any exclusives for very long!) That is why you see some of the same guns with different model designations over the years. However, all of the above model names belonged to Kassnar or KBI so they could only have come from these two companies. For those of you that have any of the above models, and you require service some day, please contact our Service Department. Though all of them are no longer under warranty, (except for the Daly HP), and some were not even sold by KBI but by Kassnar Imports which went out of business in 1989, there is a good chance that we still have some parts (though not all parts) and we will do our best to help you out, as we did for the gentleman (platform) who had a FEG pistol imported by one of our competitors. Sincerely,

Now that is some very interesting information. Thanks Todd. I was doing some web surfing yesterday. Seems like quite a few parts for the FEG pistols will interchange within the different models. Your help and knowledge is greatly appreciated.
