Anyone have information about this gun Please show us more pictures.
With the ' a ' suffix, i suspect it is an occupation pistol, and by the serial number alone, it may have been produced in mid 1941 to 1942. Others will visit shortly...
Cheers,
Tim

It is worth as much as someone is willing to give you?
I bought one in pretty good shape (original grips, matching numbers, all original parts) for $500 just three years ago. Some forum members thought i paid too much. They are not rare. I passed on another one for $400 because it seemed to be in poor condition and I felt it was overpriced. They are not shooters. They are an odd bit of history and not particularly valuable.
If you plan on shooting it YOU MUST REPLACE THE SEAR SPRING. You also need to replace all of the other springs. On my pistol, the trigger pull was 2#s and extremely dangerous. Replacing the sear spring returned it to a safe 4.5#.
I rarely shoot mine. They were made by forced laborers who were not motivated to produce the quality product they had once made.
*I am attaching a photo of 3 sear springs to illustrate wear. You can see by the shadows below each spring how they flatten out with age. Using a worn out sear spring will lead to hammer follow, a very dangerous condition.
Cheers,
Tim
Sear Springs I also replaced the sear for safe shooting I have retained all of the original parts for... posterity

Flowback, please stop posting the same question and photos in multiple sections. Start a new thread regarding this gun (I did it for you and moved all the post - and also started you one in our HP Armorers Section regarding you going to refinish it) - anyhow, all the duplicate post are now deleted, and you're set-up with two threads.
Good Luck.

Durn... you beat me to it... Rule number one "Be nice." flowbackmma violated that rule in the extreme... it won't be tolerated. Happily we have been able to maintain a friendly, informative board where all are welcome... so long as they follow the rules... and there are not many rules here... but they will be enforced.... Thanks for acting Bill. Chuck Well thanks a bunch. If only you would have had info on the gun. Could have been done F/O smart ass. I was trying to be nice to you, but now you're banned.
