Well, time for part two of the Confederate Air Force Government Models...The gun with the gold inlay. I have to note parenthetically the Confederate Air Force seems to issue much nicer pistols than the U.S. AF (or any other for that matter... .) Anyway, at first glance the two CAF guns appear to be identical other than one having Silver inlay and one Gold... but on closer inspection there are differences and the inlay is not actually the same... Here is the right side, which sports the Texas flag a likeness of Col. Culpepper and aircraft plus some lettering... This is a close up of the inlay on the front right side... Next we have a left view of the gold finish gun. You can see it is different from the silver gun. On the forward left side of this pistol we have more scroll work... The right side rear sports the Texas flag... The left rear sports a U.S. Flag Happily another good bit of news yesterday, the 1942 un-issued 1911A1 Colt from the CMP arrived yesterday, so with a bit of luck I should be able to show it tomorrow... V/r Chuck
