Hello, I got to handle a RIA GI Double Stack 1911 the other day, and I believe I want one (but only because 13 Rd Mags are available, if 10 was it, then I'd pass). This gun feels very Browning High Power'ish - not fat and ill feeling at all. The Gun: armscor.com/firearms/ria/gi-series/gi-standard-fs-hc-45acp/Since the BHP went out of production and prices being what they are, I mainly use one of my COLT 1911's for daily carry and despite dearly loving The 1911, I want more than 7-shots on tap, and, this Dbl. Stack GI Trimmed 1911 from RIA just might be the ticket for the 'capacity' conscious folks like me that's totin' .45 Automatics all while wanting a few more rounds between reloads. And, since the RIA isn't a high-dollard gun, it makes it even better suited as a daily carry/street-gun (after proving it's 100% reliable of course). BTW: The Philippine Department of National Defense ordered 50,000 of 'em. www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2018/12/03/philippines-orders-pistol/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=SumoMe&utm_campaign=sumome_share

I believe MecGar makes a 14 round mag for the old Para’s, that may fit this Rock Island. My former local gun store (I retired and moved to a free state) would occasionally get one of these in (with 10 round mags) and they are fun to handle. I haven’t shot one though. I wish Rock Island would make a Commander size version of this pistol.
