Like most re-loaders, I want clean cases for my reloads. Also like most re-loaders, I have used a tumbler and media for decades to clean my used cases --- until last year. That's when I bought a Lyman ultrasonic brass cleaner ( www.lymanproducts.com/brands/lyman/turbo-sonic/turbo-sonic-2500-case-cleaner.html ) while they were on sale. My used cases come up cleaner and brighter than they ever did with the tumbler, and it a fraction of the time. The best part, is there is no one complaining about the noise the tumbler made while it was running.

I inherited a cheap plastic sonic jewelry cleaner, & with some detergent, I have even gotten totally varnish closed brass carburetor jets to like new condition - even shiny. Highly recommended.

I have thought about the ultra sonic cleaners, but already own three(3) of the old, tried and true, units using corncob and brass polish. Perhaps it is time to move into the 21st century. I only load handgun cartridges these days, and really have no complaints from the results I get. So many reloading "toys", so little time.

When I saw how clean the primer pockets came out the first time I used mine, I was sold. Worth every penny!
