A few months ago I found a SIG P365... something that was not easy to do... I got lucky I guess...
Anyway, before adding a gun to my carry stable I like to get about 300-400 rounds through it. I finished the break in/work-up period on the little SIG 365 this morning...
At the range this morning I finished the last of 400 rounds through the gun... of which 50 were JHPs. Happily, the SIG functioned flawlessly throughout the break in... no malfunctions at all. Most of the ammo was my 9x19mm reloads with 115gr Xtreme brand plated lead bullets. I was definitely pleased with the gun.
So, the gun now goes into the carry stable along with some S&Ws; some Colt 1911 type compacts and an elderly Colt 1908 .380.
I'm optimistic this will turn out to be a fine carry gun... the extra capacity (up to 12+1) is a good thing and the 365 is accurate and easy to shoot. I have one of Ryan Grizzle's excellent leather holsters so I should be all set.
I'll follow up after carrying it for a while...

I just picked up a P365 at the end of last week along with the 12 round magazine. I had to hunt around to find it. Although only been carrying the P365 for a few days, so far it has been great. I barely know it is there. Right now I am using a DeSantis leather IWB holster. Good to hear you have not had any issues. I hope to get to the range sometime this week to test out.

I have my doubts about the 365. We've had a few in the shop and I just don't like the way they present. When I grab and point, the squarish grip turns in my hand and points significantly to the right. And the reports I've read seem to indicate major issues can occur up to 500 or more rounds in. Finally, after the significant problems Sig had with the 320, I'm not prepared to trust them with a 365. Don't get me wrong; I absolutely love mt P228 (a regular carry gun), but I think they jumped into the striker-fired market before they were ready.

This highlights the fact everyone is built differently... the P365 fits in my hand as though it were made for the gun... and I find I can shoot it easily as well as my "old time compact" SIGs like the P228/229. The night sights seem to be just the thing for my eyes... I guess the take away here is everyone needs to get the feel of a gun before they decide to buy it (though I didn't follow my own advice ) I'm comfortable that 400 rounds is enough to shake down any pistol as well as break it it... 400 rounds is 2x what most companies recommend for break in... so now I just have to hope reports to the contrary are wrong... After a few more weeks I'll report back on how the SIG is doing. V/r Chuck I have my doubts about the 365. We've had a few in the shop and I just don't like the way they present. Follow up on my SIG P365.
I have been carrying the P365 for my daily carry gun nor for about four months... and so far it has been great... One thing I noticed last night when I took it off was the fact there are no signs of wear at all to the finish.
Of late I have been shooting at a local range once or twice a week... and each time I shoot about a box of 9x19mm ball through the P365. I think I must be about at the 2000 round point on the little SIG...
So far the P365 has had zero malfunctions and shoots very well. Day before yesterday I fired two boxes through the gun at 15 yards. Accuracy is very good on this pistol... basically shot the center out the target...
Anyway I am very pleased with the gun... The only complaint I have had was an initially defective magazine... which SIG replaced without hesitation (though they did insist I send the defective mag back... they did provide a shipping label at their expense however. This seemed silly to me, but I suppose they want to see the defectives and prevents those with dishonest leanings from taking advantage of them... but it also seems an expensive practice. I had the replacement mag back in less than two weeks.
Bottom line? I am really happy with the P365, it is accurate, drop dead reliable and easy (for me at least) to shoot.

I'm opting for the Glock 43X to fill the niche. I got my daughter a 43 and it's just a hair too short for me. Can't wait for the 43X to arrive!

I enjoyed being able to see a report like this. So many times all you read is Negative Nancy stuff. Thanks for a reality check. Sometimes a magazine is bad. Most are not. I have read a few first person reports and they were good. Some reports were that an early iteration was giving them trouble and SIG dug in to fix the problem and just kept on rolling. I like the idea of a P365 but I like full sized guns and right now, for me, the 1911s and a Hi-Power in 9mm are doing it for me concealed. I do have to admit I stuck a 38 shrouded hammer Smith in my pocket this afternoon after work. Usually it has been a 3" S&W 1911 in 45 ACP. I will one day buy the P365 after all the reports. Then I will have two 9MMs to go along with the 6 .45s. Be Well. Bandito

About 1200 rnds. through my 43X and I think it might be the last carry gun I buy.....love it. We haven't move many 365s lately at the shop, not sure why. No interest at all in the newest version with a manual safety. Lots of choice now in little 9mms, try a couple and see what you like.
