That is Veronica, "Ronnie", Foster, AKA "the Bren Gun Girl". She appeared in numerous articles and posters championing Inglis' wartime productions. Link to another website's thread: www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=17891

Link to another website's thread: www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=17891I see different ladies. Photo below shows their head profile. Bren girl's head is convexing than the Hipower girl. The Hipower girl's nose is pointed forward while the Bren girl's nose is slightly pointing upward.

Pretty awesome historical data here, gentlemen. The photo and the info on the woman are impressive, but to have a picture of the "blank" gun that is in the picture is amazing. Very cool.

It does make you wonder why Inglis would go to all the trouble of making a dummy gun... it seems that would be a lot more trouble than just using a production gun... curious.

I suspect the dummy guns were made up from out of Spec. parts. Again, that is just a suspicion.

I note there are serial numbers on the 'gun' that don't match... which suggests to me you may be right in your surmise... V/r Chuck I suspect the dummy guns were made up from out of Spec. parts. Again, that is just a suspicion.

Neat pistol, I had a Chinese contract pistol 3CH 1234 that I let a female talk me out of so she could give it to hubby for Christmas...sure miss that pistol. I now have a fixed sight pistol (lower left) that remains in excellent condition and is deadly accurate, nice but not the same as a tangent.
