Are they also available with spur hammers, or alternately, do BHP hammers fit? The ring hammers batter the crap out of my hand.

You can buy several types of HP Hammers, keeping in mind ALL HP Hammers MAY require some fitting. A number of owners have had Cylinder & Slide brand no bite spur type Hammers installed. Not cheap though. Some owners filed the lower side of the Hammer down. There are also some grips with a finger perch that seem to encourage a lower hold. Do you own a Tisas already? They won't bite any worse than other more expensive HPs.

Had mine to the range last week, & I'm still thrilled it - as it appears, most other owners are also. Recommend buying one soon in case relations with turkey deteriorate any more.
