Hello Howard,
Excellent video and excellent news on your replacement of the Llama Max-1. The AC II looks like its going to run well and kudos to your dealer on the exchange! I really enjoyed the video quite a bit and I actually like the appearance of the grips for some reason... As for performance, it is indeed a "tack driver". Congratulations Howard on solving the problem with your Llama...

Well done... I'm delighted to see you have gotten a 'good un' in the end.
Nice video too...

Thanks guys! This one is a lot of fun, and I'm really looking forward to exploring the handloading potential of the 38 Super.

Congrats on being made whole by your LGS. Another nicely done video. That AC ll is a handsome 1911, and it obviously runs 100%, and is accurate.....win-win!!

Thanks guys! This one is a lot of fun, and I'm really looking forward to exploring the handloading potential of the 38 Super. Howard Hello Howard, I'm glad things have finally worked out for you. Steve Camp loaded 147-gr. bullets to averaging just under 1200 fps from his Super's and, I think that is the perfect 147-gr load for those that prefer the heavier bullets. I know I sure like the idea of a good 147-gr. bullet clockin' ~1200 fps! It'd surely do a good job of punchin' through a windshield and into a goblin's head and, I imagine it'd also work pretty good on alligators too. Keep those Factory COLT Super .38 Magazines in-mind that I told you about, after all, a man can NOT have too many magazines and, I'm betting that this won't be the last Super .38 that you acquire...

Thanks Rob. I’ll give those 147 grain bullets a try. I just received some 124 grain XTP’s from Midway, and my initial goal is to see if I can drive them around 1350 FPS. That’s not too far behind a 357 Magnum, and the XTP has been a good hunting bullet for me. I like the idea of having a good 147 grain load too, so those might be the next ones I take a look at.
