I have gone to considerable trouble to scrape together the cost of a Stainless BR9SS model. just waiting (impatiently)for them to arrive in stock. They were targeted for late February, now looks like early march - I hope.

Though I certainly don't NEED another HP, I am going to have to take a serious look at this new Stainless steel HP coming to our shores. After looking at it, I may find that I DO need one!!

Latest on stainless BR9S pistols: I got a return call from Gursal @ LKCI LLC today, saying my local dealers FFL is on file & I will hear from them to make my credit card payment soon as they arrive. 500 stainless BR9S are due in the second week in March. Gursal said not to worry, everything is GO for me. If you want one at the wholesale price, You should have your favorite FFL holder Email a copy of his license to: gi@lkcillc.com, & include WHOM it is for (your name). Then call LKCI to let them know where to reach you for CC payment. The price is supposed to be $550. + shipping + transfer fee at your FFL dealer. This is how you should proceed to obtain one of these stainless hi powers, or the BR9 black ones now in stock (for less)$$. Hope you find this helpful, Craig

I read that the machining was BETTER on the BR9 than the FN Hi Powers. Over on the 1911 forum in the Regent thread, there are recent pictures comparing the internal machining of both slides. The BR9 is machined to a much higher standard - evident even under the Cerakote coating. I'm impressed.

A friend on an other forum Talked to the distributors recently. The BR9S pistols are due to land at JFK on the 12th. They hope to have them in Ohio, & available about March 16th. I'm ready.

The BR9S is rumored to be in stock toward the end of this week. Remember, LKCI needs to have your FFL holders info in hand before you are called upon to pay. Best wishes, Craig

SWEET INDEED. My BR9SS Arrived today, my gunsmith (FFL dealer) was correct when he said I'd be well pleased. I think the stainless version shows a lot of extra finish work I didn't see in the BR9 photos. Everything is extremely well done. I'm used to seeing some tool marks on my FEGs & in photos of FN & FM made Hi Powers. Tool marks on the regent are conspicuously absent. I'm amazed & delighted & very glad I took a chance on this. I immediately put on my uncle mikes Spiegel Grips. The slide lock was stiff to remove - but it's new. All springs feel stiff & new, but everything works smoothly. the trigger pull is nice & crisp & will get easier when the mag safety is gone. I just cant get over how well crafted this pistol is. It includes: 13 round, & 15 round MecGar magazines. Enclosing some detailed interior pictures so the fine workmanship can be seen. I think it is a very worthy heir to Hi Power Legacy, & highly recommend buying one. Made this nice it's GOT TO shoot well.
SORRY CAN'T UPLOAD MY PICTURES - they are to BIG even from my obsolete camera. BUT I HAVE POSTED THEM ALL IN THE HI POWER SECTION OF THE 1911 FORUM. Check out the wonderful craftsmanship, & buy one of these !

TODDSIG over on the 1911 forum has had his BR9 & BR9SS out to the range with really outstanding results. Lots more info posted over there. I recently moved here, & haven't made a good contact with a place to shoot. The local indoor range is very pricey - I don't like indoor shooting anyway. Last night I tried to remove my Magazine Safety, & the Regents trigger parts are a lot more substantial & better made with very close tolerances, so I was not able to remove the safety as easily as those in my FEGs. I'm going to need to remove the trigger pinion to get the safety out. Hopefully I can succeed with this today,& not need my gunsmith. The Regent trigger isn't bad from the factory, I just don't like magazine safeties on anything I own.
