I remember that as a cop I fired the buckshot loads. At say, 25 yards or so I always got several hits. At 50 yds lucky to get just 1 hit.

Another excellent video! When I was a cop 00 buck was a standard issue for shotguns. At 25 yards, I would usually expect a few hits. But at 50 yards it was unusual to get even one hit on the silhouette. With my muzzleloading shotguns it was the same thing. This is the main reason I do not like buckshot on deer. Thanks again.

You're welcome! For what it's worth, I like 00-Buck for close-range felon repellant, but I would not use it for deer. There are too many better options.

Any thoughts on substituting #1 or #4 Buck?

Nice video Howard - and by the way, your guns have some really nice finishes.
For 2-3/4" 12 Gauge shells, I like Remington Express 12 Pellet 00 and, the 15 Pellet 00 for 3" shells.
