Hello, would any of you fine gentlemen here happen to have detailed specs/measurements for the barrel cam pin? The frame in question is a T series.
Thanks!

You pose an interesting question...I have never seen a separate cam for a HP.
FN/Browning to the best of my knowledge has never sold the cam by it's self, rather they have insisted the gun be sent to them for installation by their techs.
Not much help I'm afraid... maybe Bob Reed has more info on this...

I have read old threads on other forums about people finding them rarely. I have not been that lucky lol. I was hoping to find a demilled/junk frame and salvage the pin, but alas no luck there either. It appears that my best option is to have one machined if i can find the specifications.

Unfortunately, photobucket crashed and burned all the photos there. But...fortunately I was able to save AUBHP's photo of the part and thereby sharing it here. www.handgunsandammunition.com/hi-power-forum/11169-my-new-gp35-3.html

interesting thread i found it during my searches. It does not however give dimensions specifications on the actual pin.

Gentlemen - hpguru has posed this question on another forum and I have recommended he contact C&S. They will fit a new cam for $255. So, it is most likely that they have reverse engineered the part and now make it themselves. I am making the assumption that Browning does not share or sell the part to consumers. Lastly, I wonder if Garthwaite or other HP gunsmiths would have one in their dustbin?

I almost forgot. Elite Warrior Armament c/o CWarner (Chuck) has a subforum in the other forum that warthogge mentioned plus a Facebook account entitled Elite Warrior Armament (https://www.facebook.com/elitewarriorarmament/). They have been making nice stainless steel hipowers (ain't cheap though) this year (I remember they won't make HPs this coming year anymore as they will concentrate on barrels and their Bren Tens). You might want to drop them a line and hopefully he will be kind enough to share the dimensions.

Some idea from C&S site showing the positioning but no dimensions. Maybe ratio-and-proportion can be used based on the photo. It can be noted that the top surface of the pin isn't the same in shape as the "ceiling" of the barrel lug (leaving a space between pin and the barrel when recoil reached its maximum). cylinder-slide.com/media/ecom/prodlg/DSCN8988.JPG

Sorry to rekindle an old thread, but Cylinder and Slide replaced the cam that I broke of my 1979 Standard. Maybe it's a brazen plug , but they did a splendid job at, I think, a fair price. Long wait in line but, in retrospect, worth it. Lesson learned: Careful with ammunition and watch your recoil spring!

Good advice there... I read recently an outfit in Hungary has bought up the residual FEG parts left over from FEG production and plans to start building new HPs (presumably using the FEG tooling) in the near future... if accurate this will be a possible source of parts as well...
