I just bought 20 rds. of PMC Gold Starfire 9mm (9SFB) and 20 rds. of PMC Gold Starfire .45 (45SFA). I assumed that if it were PMC, it would be pretty good stuff, but this youtube test of the 9mm is pretty disappointing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXYGsY7InO8Anybody have any experience with this ammo? Thanks.

I was given a 20 round box of the PMC Starfire Law Enforcement ammo a long time ago. It is in 357Sig caliber. I have never fired/tested any of it, so I have no opinion from a first hand basis. The velocity findings and the bullet performance in gel of those 9mm rounds are reminiscent of a low/med loaded range FMJ round. Not very impressive, at least in that test. I have a fair amount of the PMC Bronze 115gr FMJ 9mm ammo, and like it for range fodder.....and good brass for reloading. I might be prone to purchase a bit if the Speer God Dot ammo for carry ammo......that is what I have confidence in for my SD ammo.
