My Walmart has Tula steel case 9mm for $7.76. No limits so I got ten boxes. I do not bother to reload 9mm.

A few years back I fell onto a smoking deal on Wolf steel cases 9mm in 115gr. I bought a "ton" of it. That was going to be my range 9mm, and I wouldn't have to harvest the cases(lazy). Then, my range prohibited any and all steel case/steel jacked ammo from being used there!! A perfect case of "the best laid plans". So I went back to handloading my 9mm brass, and just stare at all of those cases of Wolf ammo.

I have plenty of steel case for everything, but found for practice, I didn't like cleaning up the excessive dirt by products - so mostly use Winchester white box 115gr 9mm at the range. Haven't found any 9x18 Makarov in anything but dirty Russian steel loads. I recently bought a box of Remington 9mm 115gr JHP to test in my rebuilt Feg Mauser - It has a new Remsport stainless barrel, with polished straight ramp - How has this ammo worked out for others?
Thanks, C.

Hello,
It's very foolish to use steel cased ammunition in firearms that wasn't designed for it.
Low-grade, steel cased ammunition is the main cause of most malfunctions and steel cases in general are very hard on extractors - it even accelerates the wear on heavier-duty extractors in AK's, ect. to the point that I use brass cased, American Made ammo in my AK's.
That unbelievably-cheap priced ammo is garbage, guys.

Amen brother Bob... There is plenty of low price brass case ammo around these days to take a chance of steel case... I won't even use GI Steel case ammo such as EC43 that was on the market a few years ago... I reload anyway, so brass makes even more sense for me.
