Here's a few more of my current crop of P-35's. I do have a Mklll Tangent Sight model I bought on a whim that has lived most it's life in the gunsafe. I've done most of the work (tighten slide to frame, "match" barrels, trigger groups/safety/trigger) myself unless mentioned. A "buddy with a Bridgeport" has been a lifesaver dovetailing slides for new sights. Pawn shop rescue "T" series. Mk lll I sent to my SIL. Checkering, slide serration and HC by Bob Cogan. This is a favorite "carry gun"; Mklll forged frame with a lot of work. MKlll with FS checkering and HC by Bob Cogan. \ "Frankengun"- Mklll HC frame with non Firing Pin safety FN upper (T series) that has BoMar clone sights.

You guys have some really nice HPs they are a pleasure to look at. I'm posting some pics of a 'nitch' High Power I hope will be of interest... The HP in .30 Luger (7.65 Luger) chambering is a fairly rare bird. As far as I can tell two small batches were imported into the U.S. FN cut a good bit of metal off the slide when compared to the standard HP, probably to make the function more reliable with the reduced recoil from the weaker 30 Luger cartridge. The reduced weight slide changes the profile of the slide considerably. In addition, FN changed the front sight, probably to raise the height of the front sight to the height of the normal front sight. The cut away slide makes for an awkward fit for the rear sight. The barrel is thinner (and thus can't be used in standard sized HPs) The barrel is probably cut down in size as a weight saving effort. FN is reported to have made these guns for the Italian market where the 9x19 is considered a military round and thus may not be owned by citizens. Other makers have offered their standard pistols in 7.65 Luger, including Beretta, SIG, S&W, Luger and Colt's and probably others as well. Another good feature is the BHP in 7.65 Luger is a lot of fun to shoot... recoil is VERY mild and the gun is quite accurate as well... Whilst these are not common, they do come up for sale from time to time... I have found two... the one shown here and one that is ANIB... both spend a lot of time in one of the safes. V/r Chuck

I have a 73C series BHP that I traded a Sig P232 for several years ago. This is how she looked when I got her: I have since removed the magazine safety, added an Argentine ring style hammer, installed a set of the MKIII grip panels and a factory ambidextrous safety:

Some beautiful weapons being shown in this thread. Have to admit, while I truly envy those with a "stable" full of Hi-Powers, there aren't going to be any Hi-Powers at my place lacking attention............since I only have one.

Well Slav, I also hope nobody minds a clone or two. Here's my favorite FEG, a PJK-9HP and a Charles Daly Hi Power, both dolled up a bit with new sights and grips. This PJK-9HP is not as brightly finished as the other one, but obtained a little bit of notoriety When I used it as the gun on the cover of "Decoding The FEG Hi-Power" while it was still stock. It too has had new Novaks and grips, plus a new Browning ambi safety. JayPee

Nice JayPee.
I always loved the old MMC adjustable s. Wish they still made them. They were as bullet proof as an adjustable can be (says the guy that dropped one on the concrete from the top shelf of the safe- just a crease in the protective "ear", still completely functional).

Yes, they were built like an anvil all right. MMC last operated in Las Vegas and went bust a few weeks after they did my CDHP in around '08 or '09.

I was fortunate enough to be in Prescott, Arizona a few years back and happened to have my BHP with me. Chino Valley was just a short drive away, so I called Don Williams (The Action Works) and asked if I could swing by and have him install the ambi safety for me.
He said to come on by, so I had a nice visit with him at the shop while he put the safety on my BHP. Don is a great guy and I appreciate that he took the time out of his busy schedule to fit me in. Being a "Lefty" I really like having the ambi safety on my pistol:
