Sometimes it's fun to shoot something other than the usual round bulls eye targets... These people offer some interesting targets as well as the standard NRA bulls eye type... www.pistoleer.com/shooting-targets/dod/ Looking at the site, some of the samplers seem like a good buy... I think I'll try some... V/r Chuck

In my neighborhood these are popular. They're available just about everywhere too. When they fill up the county comes out under a flag of truce and replaces them... Attachments:

For trips to the public outdoor range, to keep up appearances, I have some gum back targets I bought from Wal Mart. When I'm shooting by myself here in the North Georgia Mountains, I frequently use paper plates with a spray black center spot, stapled to trees. I also enjoy making empty half gallon plastic milk containers "dance" their way out of range.

Hello,
Personally I like foam/paper plates set on a dirt berm to shoot at. I have spent too many years shooting at B-27 targets and sometimes its just fun to shoot for the sake of having fun! Last time I went shooting, I took a empty R-22 jug of refrigerant to shoot at. Now, that was a hoot! I managed to comply with EPA regulations at disabling the jug and having fun at the same time! By the way, the 7.62x25 Tok round does a nice job at penetrating it!

Y'all ain't lived 'till you've seen a five quart oil jug filled with water hit at 100 yards by my best friend and his 524 grain 50-70 bullet......like a freight train hitting a pumpkin! Yee-doggies!

Just one word of advice - some organized ranges will not allow targets that have photographic likenesses of humans on them. So you might want to ask and see if they're allowed before you buy.

I won't even shoot Zombie Targets. As a senior citizen I'm uncomfortable with the current trend toward shooting shambling slow grey humanoids. I read that the US Government actually put out a pamphlet on "Zombie Apocalypse" - I suspected a conspiracy to desensitize the public, to eventually cut Social Security/Medicare losses.
