I'm not a big collector of guns who belonged to famous people, but a while ago I got a chance to buy this HP that had a history to it... The gun it's self is not particularly unusual... though I always seeing a 'T' series that appears to have never been fired... It is a nice example of a 1969 vintage High Power... finish is nice and grips are original. What is different is this: Signed by his wife... The gun store that sold the gun also provided confirmation... As you might expect this HP is a 'safe queen'... but it is a good conversation starter... for people old enough to remember Richard Boone... Boon retired in Jacksonville FL area and died there... of old age... Hope y'all enjoy this one... V/r Chuck

Good story, Chuck. I wouldn't mind having a nice gun like that.

Richard Boone was one of my favorite actors as a kid. I was a big Paladin fan and even enjoyed the theme song. He had renewed success and popularity later in life. It was well deserved.

I guess you would say finding it was blind dumb luck... walked into a LGS in Clearwater FL and there it was... I paid a bit too much for it, but I didn't think I'd ever have another chance at it... One thing I was pleased to see Boone had such good taste in guns... FWIW Chuck That's a keeper. How did you run across that one Chuck?

That is pretty darn neat! I was a fan too. Sometimes we run across something special, knowing we'll not likely ever have another opportunity to own that item, and we have to bite the bullet and spend bigger bucks than we might have liked. Been there, done that;)
