Hello, Gents.
I had seen an article some time back speculating whether or not anyone would pick up production of the BHP.
Being that I live in a tool and die area of the US (cleveland, OH)...I've seen mom and pop fab shops purchase dies and tooling from the OEM in order to
continue making parts for classic and other vehicles...trucks, towmotors, sikorski helicopters, etc
It's been a nagging thought of mine ever since I read that article....does anyone know whatever happened to the tooling and dies for the FN HP ?
Just a thought.

Hello,
I was told that the tooling was worn out and probably destroyed.
BTW: I deleted your post on the same subject in the other forum - Please don't double post.

Like Bob I have no firm information on the tooling for the HP but I'd guess Bob is right... the tooling is very old... I understand some of it was ruined by improper maintenance during WWII and had to be replaced but I think going back over 75 years that would not make much if any difference in it's condition these days...
our friends Mark and Slav make some parts for the HP now...
FWIW

Thanks, Gents. Sorry about the double post, Bob. I may make some additional etiquette errors as I grow into this medium. Please don't hesitate to point them out, and thanks for your patience in advance. -Jim

Any idea on the FN blue prints for the MK II and MK III ? Did these ever go public after FN stopped producing?
